Nowadays people will rarely step out of the home without their smartphones tucked safely into their pockets or handbags. The amount of photos taken with smartphones is staggering. Ivan Cash developed the concept of approaching strangers and asking them, “What’s The Last Photo On Your Phone?”:

The email address details are an eccentric mix. From a van catching fire to your get-together between buddies, there’s no telling where this project will take him if he decides to educate yourself regarding other cities as well.

What’s great about this project would be that the owners of the photos were given a few moments to share the back-story behind their images. Without it, the gathering would just seem random and impersonal.
