Former Nokia Asia-Pacific CEO Thomas Zilliacus founded a company called “Newkia” that aims to develop an Android-Powered phone that they thinks will be the answer for loosing Nokia’s grounds internet marketing such an arrogant with the company. He serves the company for 15 years, where he was the Finnish company's Asia-Pacific CEO for seven years.

Earlier now, Nokia sold it’s Devices And Services for $7.2 billion Deal to Microsoft. Which he thinks that Microsoft would benefit most.

“What Newkia would like to do is

to use Nokia know-how, technology, and design

to create the world's best smartphones, but running on Android”

His hopes of producing the Android phones also intends to hire some Nokia employees who have been interested in developing for Android. He already has some ex-staff up to speed, and really wants to hire more. The idea tells, "What Newkia would like to do is to apply Nokia know-how, technology, and design to construct the world's best smartphones, but running on Android," Zilliacus said.

Zilliacus experimented with buy Nokia's phone business last year, hoping they can change the organization’s situation towards Android, but he wasn't able to raise enough money to take action. Thus founding Newkia, would be his most suitable choice on giving Nokia fans a taste of Android inside a Nokia hardware.

Nokia already did something wrong a time ago and missed its opportunities due to the arrogance, Zilliacus claims. He said that Nokia possess a prototype that appeared to be the iPhone, developed four years prior to the first Apple iPhone. This product never was launched because the organization thought industry wouldn't be interested. And he retains this prototype as part of his drawer.

The Singapore-based company, Newkia really wants to launch its first phone in just a year, and will be targeted at the Asia audience.

An interview with Thomas Zilliacus:

This was a great idea by Thomas Zilliacus as well as a bit of challenging. However, would it be a better solution for Nokia, whether it had Android on the first place instead on Windows?
