If anyone still thought Google's project glass was just an idea or "vaporware", should have no doubts about things anymore. Google has patented a few elements of the design, just to ensure no copying.
This means things are as seriously as possible and that the device, supposedly worn by Google executives, like Sergey Brin and Vic Gundotra, could soon be a reality.
This can only be a good idea since regardless of what Google does, everyone wants to do, for some reason (here insert the smiley face). Interesting, Oakley has developed something similar a couple of years now-but I am not sure that it will be able to compete with Google in terms of marketing, provided both products are available at the same time.
I can't wait to test them out, particularly because it is clear that a lot of progress on them – Googler Sebastian Thrun, one of the project leaders, has posting images taken with glasses camera function on Project glass Google + page, as Google seems to be experimenting with these days.
